Richmond Park is my favourite place in London to cycle. It’s the largest royal park in the city at 2500 acres, although technically it’s in the county of Surrey.

It’s a beautiful spot to get away from the city. There are free roaming deer, great hills to climb and trails through woodlands. The park has spectacular views of the city to the east, and the meandering Thames to the west.

Chrissie Wellington has a home near the park and uses it to train, along with other athletes. It truly is an inspiring place to ride.
